CPAP in LVF again

Another stab at assessing noninvasive ventilation in cardiogenic pulmonary oedema has been made by Italian researchers who compared CPAP with noninvasive pressure support ventilation (nPSV Рsimilar to BiPAP) in a randomised trial of  80 patients. The primary outcome was endotracheal intubation rates. There was no significant difference between the two modalities. This result is in keeping with the much larger 3CPO trial.
